The revised and facelifted 2016 Toyota Landcruiser 200 Series is now on sale in Australia, with new features and price hikes across the board.
Styling changes are headlined by a new-look grille up front, featured as a plain black-framed design on the entry GX, while higher-spec models get a chrome frame and new winglets that extend into the body of the each headlight.
There’s also new bumpers, new dark-red LED tail lamps and a broader chrome garnish through the centre of the tailgate, along with protective mouldings along the side, below revised door handles.
The 2016 range also benefits from new technologies and revised powertrains, the latter including efficiency improvements to the carry-over petrol and diesel engines.
For the 4.5-litre twin-turbo V8 diesel, that means new injectors, revised mapping and a new diesel particulate filter protected against off-roading damage by a special guard.
The diesel now produces 200kW – a 5kW increase – with torque unchanged at 650Nm. Fuel consumption has likewise improved, now down from 10L/100km to 9.5L/100km. CO2 emissions, now rated at 250g/km, bring the diesel engine in line with Euro 5 regulations.
